MIAMI – Marc Britt is regarded as one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2020 class. Obviously, it’s early for the sophomore prospect. He doesn’t expect to make a commitment any time soon. He does, however, have scholarship offers.

He also has two early favorites.

“For now, it’s Syracuse and Miami,” Britt said on Friday. “Those are my favorites.”

Britt says he hopes to visit both of his frontrunners this fall. He’s already toured Miami once, so that will be a return trip. The next time he gest to Syracuse, however, will be his first.

I like the receivers at Syracuse,” Britt said. “They have guys like me that catch a lot of balls. I like the way they work. I just like it. I want to go check it out.”

With years left in his recruitment, Britt, who attends Hialeah (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic High School, holds six offers in total. According to his coach, dozens of other schools have expressed interest but are yet to make things official.

IN HIS WORDS:

-- “With Miami, that’s my city. I like that offense. I like that speed.”

-- “Syracuse is just telling me they love me right now.”

-- “I want to get LSU and Oregon. “With LSU, my favorite receiver went there. With Oregon, hat’s Oregon. Everyone wants to check that out.”

RIVALS REACTION: Britt is a receiver in the mold of current Miami commit Mark Pope except with extra length. And while it’s much too soon to tell if his game will evolve to rival that of the class-of-2018 five star, the similarities – at least at this stage -- are striking. It’s difficult to project where he may land because of his young age and distance from Signing Day.
