Syracuse lands huge lineman

The Syracuse recruiting class just got more impressive with the recent verbal commitment of one of Virginia's top defensive linemen.
Defensive tackle Cordarrow Thompson is a 6-foot-2, 318-pound prospect from Stafford (Va.) North Stafford. He runs the 40-yard dash in 5.4 seconds.

"I had offers from Syracuse and Marshall, and it just felt like the right time to commit," said Thompson. "I like the academics, the football program, the facilies and the area seems nice. They've got coaches that I'm real impressed with. I think it's the best place for me to develop."
Thompson could play on the offensive or defensive line for the 'Cuse. While he doesn't figure to be a great pass rusher, he's fantastic against the run and occupies two men on just about every play.
"I'm going to bring some size, toughness and determination up there," he said. "That's what they're getting in me. I just want to work as hard as I can and make them feel like they're getting a great player."
