Syracuse gets fifth commitment

The Syracuse Orange have added their fifth commitment and their third from the state of New York. Who's the latest to give his pledge to Paul Pasqualoni?
"I committed to Syracuse," said 5-foot-9, 188-pound running back/defensive back Raymell Rice. "It feels like family to me there. My mom and I visited last week and she gave me her blessing. She really liked the coaches."

Rice, who rushed for 1,332 yards and 21 scores as a junior, chose Syracuse over an offer from Virginia and interest from Alabama, Boston College, North Carolina and others.
"They have a lot to offer academically and I pretty much knew I wanted to play there when we played for the championship last year in the Carrier Dome," he said. "It's a great atmosphere. They also want me as a running back which is my preference."
Rice joins linebackers Mike Owen and Mike Stenclik as in-state commitments to the Orange.
