Syracuse commitment now soft

Quarterback Joe Dailey of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep looks like he should be a sure-fire success at the D-1 level. However, finding the right school for the 6-foot-1, 210-pound super athlete might just be a little harder then he intended it to be.
Joe is beginning to have second thoughts regarding his commitment to Syracuse. Dailey had given a verbal commit to the Orangeman over the summer, but since then a few things have changed.

"I'm not sure about Syracuse right now. I started to think about two other schools, but for now I'm still committed to 'Cuse."
The two other schools Joe is talking about are Rutgers and Nebraska.
"I visited Nebraska last weekend and had a great time. I was able to meet quarterbacks coach Turner Gil and I really like him. Nebraska is a great place and it's just a matter of time before they are back on top. I think they have the type of offense where I can really excel."
Rutgers is scheduled to get his next official visit sometime after the Holidays.
"I plan on taking an official visit to Rutgers, but I don’t have the date set yet. I already told them that I’d be visiting. Rutgers looks like it could be a very good situation for me. They are trying to build that program and they’re having a very good recruiting class so far, so I want to check it out."
So is this a formal de-commit form Syracuse?
"No it's not. I tried to call the coaches to tell them that I was taking a few other visits, but like I said, I’m still committed there.”
This past season Joe threw for more than 1,400 yards and ran for another 800. He set the record for career passing yards at St Peters Prep.
