Symonette to announce Saturday

St. Pius (Houston) offensive tackle Ian Symonette will make his college intentions official Saturday at a press conference in the Bahamas.
"I think he's 50-50 between LSU and Miami and he will decide this weekend in the Bahamas," St. Pius coach Robin Kirk said. "His parents want him to come home to commit. They are going to have a big party at their national sports complex."

Symonette officially visited LSU last weekend and had an in-home with Miami coaches this week.
"I know Ian was initially concerned about some of the coaching changes at Miami, but since Coach (Mario) Cristobal has been named the offensive line coach, I know he feels better," Kirk said. "Coach Cristobal has been recruiting him the entire way and feels comfortable with him."
Symonette participated in the U.S. Army High School All-Star game and has continued improving his game over the short two years of playing high school football.
"His upside is tremendous," Kirk said. "Once he gets into a college weight room and continues to develop, the sky is the limit."
