Swope grabs first offer

Indianapolis (Ind.) Brebeuf Jesuit two-star athlete Mario Swope did all he could to help his team out this season, including playing with an injury shoulder, but in the end the season ended with a loss in sectionals. Still Swope, who is 5-foot-10 and 186 pounds, knew gave it his all.
"My personal goal was to win each game, but I did all that I could do," Swope said. "I hurt my shoulder in the first game of the playoffs, so I couldn't really carry it too much. We accomplished a lot this season, and we went 6-4, but you never want to see it end."

The good news is that Swope has recruiting to look forward to. He said he has an offer from Ball State and is talking to Purdue, Ball State and Ohio about official visits some time in December or January. He said he is being recruited from Ball State by assistant coach Eddie Faulkner.
"I don't know what I'm going to really do yet," he said. "I'm going to take my visits and see what develops first before I make any kind of decision."
