SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Greenwood, S.C., three-star defensive back D.J. Swearinger committed to South Carolina back in late November.
Almost a month later that's commitment is as strong as ever.

"Yes sir I am very firm," Swearinger said after Monday's practices for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolina's.
"Tennessee and Michigan are still trying but I am firm. They are recruiting me as a safety."
Swearinger said he can't wait to represent South Carolina in the big game.
"It means a whole lot, and it means you have to come out here a really play ball," he said.
"I've been really impressed with the guys so far. If anything it would somebody on the offensive line, but as far as defensive backs I would say Jerrodd Williams. Daniel he picked off two passes today a looked good."
