Swanson picking up interest

Interest is beginning to pick up for offensive guard Kris Swanson out of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett. Who is the 6-foot-3, 255-pounder starting to receive college interest from?
"He is a very good student with a 3.8 or 3.9 GPA and that means a lot of the Ivy League schools have been looking at him," Central Gwinnett head coach Bradley Warren said. "I know a few other schools including Temple, Georgia Tech and more have also been in contact. I don't think anyone particularly leads at this time."

Last season Swanson earned all-county honors.
"He is an extremely smart person on the field and in the classroom," he said. "Kris is a very technical person that has wonderful technique and is always in the right place. He knows what he is supposed to do all the time and faces very good defensive ends in our league and takes care of them.
"He is also a great kid with excellent grades and is a good character. Kris is the youth group leader at his church and is one of those guys you like to have on your team."
Swanson isn't sure what his summer plans are yet but he hopes to make a few camps.
