Swain stays close home

Wide receiver Brett Swain (6-1, 190, 4.5) from Carlsbad, Calif., had a tough decision to make. He needed to decide where he will continue his education and play his college football.
The decision was tough because it came down to three fine Universities.

“It feels great,” Swain said regarding his commitment. “I know I made the right decision.”
“It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make in my entire life,” Swain said. “To choose between San Diego State, Utah and Arizona State you couldn’t go wrong.”
“I had to go with my gut,” Swain said. “The place that I felt best about in my heart was San Diego State.”
“I just put it all down on paper and everything came out even,” Swain said. “Then I thought about it and I just saw myself as an Aztec.”
The Aztecs get an outstanding wide receiver that caught 46 passes for 989 yards and nine touchdowns. He also racked up 69 tackles on defense.
Swain was selected League Offensive Player of the Year, all-CIF SD Section, and all-county.
“The Aztecs have a great offense,” Swain said. “I just hope I can come in and help the team out.”
