Running back Tyrell Sutton has been putting up the numbers since his freshman season when he was a varsity starter for Akron (Ohio) Hoban. The 5-foot-9 and 190 pounder gained 1200 yards that season.
Sutton rushed for another 2400 yards during his sophomore year. He bettered that mark his junior season when he gained 2500 yards, scored 34 times, and averaged close to nine yards per carry.
Not surprisingly Sutton is attracting plenty of attention from recruiters.
"Everything is pretty open right now," Sutton said. "But I'd probably say Northwestern, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State are some schools I like. I really like the Big Ten and Notre Dame."
"Northwestern, Akron, and Kent have offered me."
"I recently visited Northwestern. And I visited Michigan. They were both fantastic."
"I don't have any favorite at all. I want to let it play out. I'm just concerned about Hoban right now."
Sutton was in Columbus on Saturday for the NIKE Training Camp at Ohio State.
