Suter selects Syracuse

Greensburg (Pa.) Central Catholic running back and linebacker Max Suter has decided he will play his college football at Syracuse, though he will likely move to the secondary for the Orangemen.
"I went up there and visited last Saturday," Suter said. "I just really liked the coaches and the school. I decided that is what I really wanted to do. They said I could play either safety or running back."

The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Suter was a starter at both running back and outside linebacker during his junior season. He rushed for 1420 yards and 24 touchdowns while also making 81 tackles with three interceptions.
"I had seven offers," Suter said. "It came down to Syracuse, New Hampshire, and Delaware. They all offered."
Suter has developed a good relationship with Syracuse assistant Scott Spencer.
"Coach Spencer recruited me," Suter said. "He was definitely important in my decision."
