Sure handed WR is a prospect

It has already been established that Bakersfield, Calif., high school is the winningest school in the Golden State's history. Being a three-year starter has been a rare thing in this program and wide receiver/defensive back Vince Van Horne (6-0, 175, 4.6) is one of those uncommon three-year starters.
As a junior, Van Horne earned first-team all-league honors and was all-area (HM) as a wide receiver after hauling in 35 receptions for 450 yards and four touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball, he accounted for 30 tackles and four picks though he is equally as good on both sides of the ball, he projects as a wide receiver on the D-I level.
"Vince runs incredible routes and has a set of fantastic hands," Bakersfield coach Paul Golla said. "I don't think he dropped a pass all year long.
"We may even play Vince at quarterback some this coming fall because he so smart and athletic," Golla said. "He has a good knowledge of the game because his father played at UNLV and is now a coach so he has been around the game his whole life.
"Vince is getting some recruiting attention but nearly the amount he will get once we get his tape out," Golla said. "He's impressive and he can play.
In the early going Van Horne has heard from Fresno State and Nevada.
In the weight room, Van Horne inclines 230, squats 320, power cleans 225 and dead lifts 405.
