Sure-handed wideout getting looks
There is a lot to like about Argyle, Texas wide receiver Brady Brown. At 6-foot-5 195 pounds, Brown has a great frame and the hands to go with it. He is also proving on the basketball court that he knows how to do the little things to win games. Consequently, he is seeing increased interest from college recruiters.
Currently, Brown is in the midst of a basketball playoff run and spending most of his time doing the dirty work.

"We're in the playoffs," Brown said. "We have a playoff game in like two days. We're ranked second in the state in 3A so we've done pretty good. I'm a guard/forward, mostly a forward. I average about 7 or 8 points a game, 6 rebounds and five steals. [Getting steals] is mostly what I like to do."
Argyle High School had success on the football field as well and Brown was a big part of it.
"We made it to the third round of the playoffs," he said. "I played pretty good. I only dropped about three passes out of the 100 thrown to me."
Brown finished the season with 97 catches for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns and he has proven that those hands are valuable.
"Most definitely my strength is catching the ball," he said. "Most anything that comes my way I'll catch it."
Two colleges in particular have shown the most interest in the sure-handed wideout.
"I've been hearing from Georgia Tech," he said. "I talked to them last week. I talked to Kansas on Friday. I went to Georgia Tech's camp last summer and liked it a lot. It's a pretty cool place."
As a wide receiver prospect, Brown has also taken note of the high-powered Jayhawks offense.
"I thought about it after watching them this year," he said of the Kansas offensive attack. "This year they had a great season and the offense was wide open and I thought it was a cool place."
At this point, Brown's Spring plans include the Nike Combine in March and some Spring basketball. However, Brown also has some plans of gaining weight and getting stronger for the football season.
