Position: Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
Size and Speed: Jordan stands 6-foot-0, weighs 165 pounds and runs the 40 in 4.5. His bench is 235 pounds, squats 350 and power cleans 225.
Honors: Jordan was selected all-league as a junior and as a sophomore he was selected all-state (sophomore team).
Statistics: Jordan had 17 receptions for over 400 yards and scored six touchdowns. From his cornerback position Jordan had 35 tackles and four interceptions.
Favorite Colleges: Jordan has an offer from Cal. Kansas State and Oregon round out Jordan’s early top three college choice.
Skinny: “Robert is a very selfless player,” Hayward head coach Casey Moreno said. “He went from catching 58 passes while attending another school as a sophomore to only catching 17 passes with us and he never complained once.”
Jordan played on a team that sent their number one wide receiver to the D-I level. Jordan’s senior season will be his year to shine as he will be the go to guy in the passing game.
“Robert is very football savvy,” Moreno said. “He has an excellent understanding of down and distance. Jordan is very technically solid.”
Football runs in Jordan’s family. His brother, Randy Jordan, starts at corner for Kansas State.
“Randy starts both ways for us,” Moreno said. “Besides playing wide receiver, Randy played corner for us. It was the first time he ever played the position and he to it like a duck takes to water. Randy ended up picking off four passes for and one was brought back for a touchdown.”
“Randy is dynamic as a corner,” Moreno said. “He has great quickness, flexible hips and had great feet. Randy is a good fit for a corner.”
Cal who has offered Jordan likes him as a corner. He has the talent to make an impact on either side of the ball.
