Eric Thomas has cancelled his
next three official visits due to a scheduling conflict.
"I'm
in this class on Saturdays to help me stay on top of my academics," he said. "I
got into it before I got my test score back, and I know I made a high enough
score, but I don't want to just quit on the class now, so I cancelled my visits
to Clemson (1/10), Florida (1/17) and Tennessee (1/24). I'll still be going to
Florida State on the 31st, though."
Thomas, a member of the Rivals.com
Florida Top 100 team and the No.
28 strongside defensive end in the nation, says he's still open to each school
on his list. He's made unofficial visits to Florida and Florida State, however,
which could help them in the long run.
"It's a slight advantage for them, but I haven't written anyone off," he
said. "All those schools said they understood my decision and that they would
stay in touch with me. I don't think any of them are dropping me, so I'm not
going to drop them right now."
As a senior at Columbia HS, Thomas (6-2, 235, 4.9) recorded 10 sacks.
