Sunshine State cornerback talks decision

Reggie Brown, cornerback from Jesuit High School in Tampa, Fla., committed to Florida Atlantic on Monday. He talked about the decision.
"I committed to FAU this morning," said Brown. "It's very relieving. I can focus on my season and the rest of my senior year.

"The FAU coaches were pretty excited. Coach Diersen was asking how recruiting was going. I told him I was committing to FAU. He was surprised."
Brown talked more of why he chose the Owls.
"I felt like it was the best fit for me," he said. "It being close to home was a plus. My family really enjoyed the coaches. They are very genuine.
"I haven't been over there since last year. I like the coaching staff. They are very genuine. They said they can really improve this season. I am looking forward to helping out with that."
The Tampa native was also receiving attention from Rutgers, UMass, Bowling Green and Ball State. He was recruited by FAU as a cornerback.
