Sun Devils score in Texas

This past spring at the NIKE Camp in College Station, we had a chance to check out Los Fresnos (Texas) quarterback Jeremy Springer but missed out on his twin brother, Justin Springer. Turns out, we missed out on one of the top linebackers in the state as the talented defensive player committed to Arizona State this past weekend.
Springer, 6-4, 220 pounds was flying way below the radar despite having a big junior season. The 'backer earned District defensive MVP honors last year and followed it up this season by being named 2nd team all-state after racking up over 100 tackles for the third year in a row. Springer finished with 154 tackles, seven sacks, five forced fumbles and three interceptions.

Springer tripped to Tempe this past weekend and committed while on the visit.
"I had a great trip and actually committed during meetings today," Springer said. "I really like Coach Erickson a lot and I feel good about the direction of the team and especially where the defense is headed.
"I got along well with the players on the team and really enjoyed the city of Tempe. The campus is great and I love the weight room. Grant Crunkleton was my host and he's a real good guy and showed me everything the school and area has to offer.
"I'm still going to take my last visit to Kansas next week because the coaches there have been recruiting me for so long but my commitment to ASU is solid and I definitely see myself signing with the Sun Devils."
