Sun Devils lead for linebacker

Three-star outside linebacker Woodson Greer said Arizona State is his favorite but that he's not going to make a commitment soon and wants to wait to see if other programs get involved this season.
Greer, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect from Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra, said he'd like to hear more from Arizona, UCLA and Oregon but that the Sun Devils are leading for his services at this point in his recruitment.

"Arizona State is on top right now," Greer said. "They offered me and it's a Pac-10 school and I like how they run things. They're probably on top right now. Arizona and UCLA are up there too but they haven't offered so they're not on the same level as Arizona State.
"There could be a lot of early playing time (at Arizona State), it's a Pac-10 school and they're a good program. I really like the chance to play early there."
A three-star prospect rated No. 92 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com, Greer probably won't make a decision soon.
Playing with five-star receiver George Farmer, four-star defensive end Jason Gibson and four-star athlete Marqise Lee - all uncommitted - this season might only help Greer's recruitment.
Many top coaches will be recruiting Serra's standouts and Greer hopes that can give him more exposure this season as well. Arizona State, Michigan and San Jose State have offered and Greer, one of the top linebackers at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp, hopes more offers come soon.
"I'm looking for more offers, more Pac-10 schools," Greer said. "I'm really looking forward to Arizona and UCLA and Oregon. I'm really interested in them. I'm looking forward to getting more offers, working hard and getting ready for the season.
"Some of the coaches say they need to see me in a few games before they make their decision so I'm waiting for the season."
