Sun Devils interest Hooker

Reshawn Hooker admits it's still early in his recruitment but out of the three offers he's received Arizona State stands out most mainly because the coaching staff has been in such consistent communication with him.
"I communicate with them more and then Boise State is right below them," said Hooker, who attended the recent Rivals.com Five-Star Academy at Corona (Calif.) Centennial.
"I like that they're welcoming and they're keeping me up-to-date on everything like their new jerseys, they send me e-mails all the time and it seems like a family environment."
Hooker is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound outside linebacker from Fontana (Calif.) A.B. Miller who has offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Boise State.
While he hasn't taken any unofficial visits yet, Hooker said he's going to plan some soon but isn't in any rush to make his decision. More programs are getting involved all the time so Hooker wants to see how things play out.
"I'm going to wait until the end," Hooker said.
USC, Oregon and Washington are showing interest in Hooker, who played his junior season at San Bernardino (Calif.) Arroyo Valley and is now trying to let college coaches know he's transferred to another school.
Hooker, who finished with more than 100 tackles last season, attended USC's junior day and was expected to attend the Trojans' spring game this past weekend.
All this attention from college coaches is surprising to Hooker since he said during his sophomore season he never expected to have three offers and lots more interest heading into his senior year. Hooker is happy with how things are playing out and he's soaking it all in.
"I'm very excited," Hooker said. "As a sophomore I didn't think I was going to blossom like this so it's definitely different."
