Summer decision for Johnson
So far this summer Orlando (Fla.) Agape Christian Academy wide receiver Drico Johnson has visited a pair of Big Ten schools.
"I visited Indiana and Purdue for one-day camps," Johnson said. "I think I did pretty good up there. I liked the campuses and such."

At this time, Johnson said knows of no upcoming visits. At the start of July, Johnson claims offers including Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Indiana, Marshall, Memphis, North Carolina State, Purdue, Temple, UCF, and USF. He said a few schools have emerged to him at this juncture.
"UCF, Purdue, North Carolina State, USF, and Marshall are standing out," Johnson said. "I wouldn't say that those are my top five. I would say that UCF, Purdue, and North Carolina State are near the top for me right now though."
Johnson admits that the in-state Knights are an appealing squad and that Central Florida is a college in the thick of it for his signature.
"I like that it is close to home and they made me feel at home when I went there," Johnson said. "I liked the campus. I like the coaches real good."
With plans to make a decision before his senior season starts, Johnson is looking for a place that he can find the field early on at and contribute to a solid team.
"I want a place that I can come in and play early," Johnson said. "I am also going to look at how they look on the field."
As a junior, Johnson had 40 receptions for 886 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned a kick for a touchdown.
