Summer decision for Herron

Warren (Ohio) Harding running back Daniel Herron is still sitting on seven offers. The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder is hoping a few other schools could potentially send scholarships in the near future.
"I've still got the offers from Cincinnati, Boston College, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa and Minnesota," he said. "Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Wisconsin keep telling me I should be getting an offer soon. They said that they are still evaluating me a little more."

Despite having a number of offers, the Ohio running back doesn't have any leaders.
"I really don't think anyone is higher for me now," he said. "There are too many teams to sort through. I would have a very hard time naming any favorites."
Though he may not have any leaders, Herron does know what he's looking for in a college.
"The first thing I want is an education," he said. "On top of that, I'm looking for somewhere I can find playing time. That is a very big thing for me. I understand if I have to redshirt, but if I could go earn time as a freshman that would be huge."
This summer a few schools are expected to get camp visits from Herron including Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan. The visits could be a major factor in deciding where the running back ends up.
"I think I'm looking to make a decision before my season starts," he stated. "I just want to be able to focus on my senior year and not have to worry about anything related to recruiting. I still might wait longer though if I get a number of offers this summer."
As a junior, Herron earned all-district, county and state honors after rushing for 1,600 yards and 18 touchdowns.
