Stupar sets fifth visit

State College (Pa.) State College Area tight end Jonathan Stupar has set visit No. 5, and it's coming up this weekend.
"Jonathan is headed to NC State this weekend," said the father of the 6-foot-5, 245-pounder. "It's Pennsylvania weekend down there so to speak with guys like Darrell Blackman, Ray Brooks and Marcus Stone taking their official visits so he thought it would be fun.

"Jonathan has played against these guys and thought it would be great to get to know them a little better. Coach Cignetti at NC State has also done a great job in pushing for this visit. NC State is recruiting him very hard."
This changes a lot of things for Stupar, who has already visited Florida State, Virginia, Arizona State and Iowa.
"I think he's just getting a bit tired of the whole thing, so this is better," he said. "He was going to take UCLA on Jan. 10, but he didn't want to wait that long. When we return, he's going into hiding for a few days or even a week and then he'll announce his decision. He's looking forward to deciding before The Holidays."
So who leads for the talented tight end?
"There really isn't one leader," Steve Stupar said. "All of the schools have done a great job and it's going to be a tough decision."
Stupar welcomed coaches from Arizona State into his home last night and has Florida State tonight (Monday), Virginia on Tuesday and Iowa later in the week. He expects to announce after a basketball game over the next few weeks.
"That's another reason why he wanted to get things over with," he said. "Basketball season has started and the team is 2-0 with a great chance at a state title. He just wants to be able to focus on other things."
