Strong Texas DT might get looks now

Gerall Golightly from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas might have been a defensive tackle that got lost in the recruiting shuffle.
The 6-foot-3, 285 pound defensive tackle has no offers yet, but he is hearing from Duke, Texas-ElPaso, Grambling, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Northwestern, Texas A&M, Kansas State and Kentucky.

He will make an official visit to Texas-ElPaso on Jan. 18, and set the rest in the next two weeks.
He has been told by Texas Tech and Grambling and possibly Texas A&M that they will either be offering him very soon or inviting him to make an official visit to their respective colleges.
He is hoping to get invites for official visits to Duke, Northwestern, Texas Tech and Nebraska, besides Texas-ElPaso.
Duke - "Academic standards and it's in a good conference.
Nebraska - "The business school there is great and the opportunity to play for the national championship each year."
Northwestern - "It's Nebraska and Duke combined, and a competitive football program with great academics."
Texas ElPaso- "They are really competitive in their conference and the defensive tackle coach is my recruiter and I like his personality."
Texas Tech - "I have friend there and family close, so I would be comfortable there."
Gerall is looking for: "The academic standards first and then the football program. A good coaching staff, the opportunity to play in a big bowl game."
He described himself as: "A stay at home, do my job player. My strong points are knowing where the ball is and my quickness and strength."
"I play right next to Larry Dibbles, so he gets all the glory and recognition. I think I send tackles his way, because when they find the middle clogged up, they bounce it outside and run into a monster."
He was recently named second team All-District.
He didn't know his stats for the season.
"I split time between offense and defense for the good of the team, so my stats aren't that good."
His physical statistics are impressive. He has run a 5.0 flat 40 yard dash and he has a very good vertical for his size - 28 inches.
He does more than keep good grades. He takes honor classes and maintains a 4.28 average on a 4.00 scale. His SAT came in at 1090.
