Strong start for 2015 QB

Ricky Town completed his first 10 passes, three went for touchdowns and he helped lead Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure to a 48-0 win over Los Angeles Garfield in the season opener.
It was a good start for the 2015 quarterback who's already hearing from Miami and Boston College.

"It went really well," Town said. "It was a lot of fun. Our defense was awesome. We had a lot of picks and a few of them were returned for touchdowns. The offense was good. We threw a lot and we ran a lot so it was about 50-50.
"In the pre-game I had some butterflies but once we got off the bus I was really confident. I felt good. I was excited."
Town, who showed well at the Southern Cal Rivals.com FBU Showcase Powered by FBU Select this summer, performed well in his first outing. The focus now turns to consistency and doing well in the coming weeks.
Ventura St. Bonaventure faces tough tests against Corona (Calif.) Centennial and Redlands (Calif.) East Valley the next two games and so Town and his team will definitely have a challenging haul.
"It's definitely huge," Town said. "If I continue to do that and people are expecting me to continue to do that then that would be great. That's what I need to focus on."
Although his sophomore season just started, Town is strongly considering an unofficial visit to Miami later in the season during St. Bonaventure's bye week.
Town visited with the Hurricanes this past summer and things went well. He's hoping to keep up with Miami, Boston College and any other college team that decides to get involved in his recruitment.
"On our bye week I'm trying to get down to a Miami game and see the locker room and stuff," Town said. "I'd love to be on the sideline for a game or something."
