Strong plugging along

East St. Louis, Ill., class of 2015 running back Natereace Strong jumped out with several early offers this past spring, but has settled into the recruiting process this summer. He saw just one school during the summer camp season.
"The only college that I went to was Mizzou," Strong said. "We did it all in one - a visit and a camp. When the camp was over with, we went around for a visit. I like their facilities a lot and it's a good school."

Missouri was one of five schools that offered Strong during the Spring Evaluation Period, and his most recent visit to Columbia helped bolster his interest in the Tigers.
"It's really strong," he said. "I talk to Coach [Cornell] Ford and I talk to the offensive coordinator, and they really want me to come there. They said I am a good tailback and like how I got downhill."
Strong was considering attending Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp later this month, but his own team has a camp during that stretch. He will look to get out to Columbus for a game this upcoming season.
"Me and my teammate Terry [Beckner Jr.] were talking about Ohio in the fall for a game and one at Mizzou," Strong said. "We were talking about Florida State too, but that's pretty far."
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Strong garnered his early offers despite missing half his sophomore season with a meniscus strain. He is looking to put in a full workload for East St. Louis in 2013.
"I just want to execute the offense, make the right decisions and stay healthy this year," Strong said.
