Striker back from Gainesville

The University of Florida hosted their first Junior Day of the Will Muschamp Era on Saturday. Amongst those that made their way to Gainesville was Seffner (Fla.) Armwood defensive athlete Eric Striker.
"It was good," Striker said. "I got to see and meet the new coaching staff, they are a good coaching staff. I had seen pretty much everything else, nothing had really changed since the last couple times I had been there but the coaching staff, so that is what today was mostly about, getting to know them."

Striker was joined on the visit to Florida by four teammates - junior running backs Matt Jones and Wade Edwards, sophomore athlete Leon McQuay III, sophomore wide receiver Alvin Bailey.
For the 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect, the visit gave him a chance to learn about the new coaches for the Gators. He came away impressed by what they had to say.
"I like Coach Muschamp and Coach (Dan) Quinn," "It was a good first impression. They are good dudes. They know the game well. I would like to play for Coach Quinn, he seems to know the game really well. He brought that 3-4 (defensive) scheme over there and that is what I like to run. I like that new staff. He told me that he liked my film and he pictures me as that safety that he would blitz off the edge."
At this time, Striker holds an offer from Tennessee and South Florida, who offered on Thursday. He is receiving heavy interest from Florida, Southern Cal, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Miami.
"Florida hasn't offered yet," Striker said. "I think it is coming though, because they just told me if I keep working that good things will happen. D.J. Durkin just told me that if Coach Muschamp would have seen me like he saw me at Friday Night Lights, that he would have offered me. He said that Coach Muschamp just needs to see a little bit more from me."
As for upcoming visits, Striker has nothing scheduled at this time. He said a visit to Miami next weekend was a possibility.
