Strickland picks Cal

Dallas (Texas) Skyline Rivals250 wide receiver Carlos Strickland knew he was ready to make his final choice, so that is what he did.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound receiver did not have a big ceremony to announce his college commitment. Instead he made his decision known on the Skyline High School football recruiting Twitter handle. It was short, sweet, and to the point.

Strickland chose the California Golden Bears out of a final four which included UCLA, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma. He took his most recent official visit to UCLA January 16, and there has been a thought Strickland was bound for the West coast since he decommitted from the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Oklahoma was the newest member of his top four. The Sooners made a last minute push two days before he made his commitment.
Strickland gives the Golden Bears their 22nd commitment of the 2015 recruiting class, and their first representative in the Final Rivals250. He is joined by four-star prospects Malik Psalms, Lonny Powell, and Russell Ude in Cal's class. He's also the second native of Texas to deliver a verbal commitment to the Bears in this class; the other is three-star athlete Billy McCrary III.
Strickland is ranked No. 132 in the Final Rivals250, No. 12 among the nation's 2015 wide receivers, and No. 17 in the Rivals.com Texas Final Top 100 for 2015.
As a senior Strickland recorded 41 receptions for 896 yards, and 15 touchdowns.
