Strickland hits camp circuit

Brandon (Miss.) three-star defensive end Kyle Strickland has seen the interest pick up over the last few months. Florida has shown an interest, ULM and Louisiana-Lafayette have both offered, and Memphis is "real close" to offering the 6-6, 230-pound defender.
He took an early unofficial visit to Memphis for a junior day and has been keeping in touch since. He also attended a Mississippi State camp in June.

"I went to State's camp two or three weeks ago and had a lot of fun out there," Strickland said. "Coach Mullen and the staff, the d-line coach, coach Turner, he worked a lot one-on-one with me.
"They gave me a lot of feedback and things I need to work on going into my senior year and hopefully I can use that to get my ranking up more."
The Bulldogs have yet to offer but after watching him work, they did let him know he was high on their recruiting board.
"They say I'm one of the top as far as 2014 recruits," Strickland said. "I'm one of the top people on their charts."
He plans to attend the Mississippi State camp in July and Ole Miss has also shown some interest in the defensive standout. He has also heard quite a bit from Southern Miss and has a couple of camps he plans to attend in the next month.
"I have the Louisiana Tech camp coming up on July 21 and I also have a Southern Miss camp on July 14," Strickland said.
At this early point in the process Florida, Memphis, and Mississippi State are at the top of his list, but he does not have any plans to make an early decision.
"I'm not committing or signing anything until February," Strickland said. "I'm not trying to rush anything."
