Strange high on in-state school

Williston (Fla.) wide receiver Damien Strange is a small town product who has the ability to play on the big stage. He reports a trio of offers.
"I have been offered by FIU, FAU, and Iowa State," Strange said.
The 5-foot-10, 167-pound athlete, who also reports interest in UCF, says an in-state school is standing out for his services at this time.
"FIU stands out," Strange said. "I have a good friend that goes down there, (Williston native) Jordan White. He hasn't really told me a lot about it but I like that if I go down there I will know somebody there."
Strange has yet to make his way down to South Florida to check out the Golden Panthers but that should be changing in the near future.
"I haven't been there yet," Strange said. "I am supposed to be going this week, I think Saturday."
When he arrives on campus, he has a few things he wants to learn about Mario Cristobal's program.
"I want to know about their graduation rate and the percentage of the student-athletes that graduate," Strange said. "I also want to know how it is to be a player there and how they would use me."
If everything goes well during Strange's visit to FIU, he admits he may pull the trigger on a commitment.
"There could be a chance," Strange said.
As a junior, Strange scored 10 offensive touchdowns and had 790 receiving yards. He also contributed on defense recording 70 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions including one he returned for a touchdown. As a special teams player, he returned a punt for a touchdown.
