Stowers on way home from Wisconsin

Running back Raynold Stowers (6-2, 215, 4.4) from Honolulu (Hawaii) Iolani was considered one of the top prospects on the rock in 2003. Things didn’t work out as planned for Stowers because of an injury but D-I schools saw enough of his talents to keep him on the radar.
Stowers has taken two visits Utah on December 5th and to Wisconsin this past weekend December 12th. He has a third visit set for Oregon State on January 16th.

Oregon, WSU, USC and hometown school Hawaii are also looking at Stowers.
“Raynold was very impressed by Wisconsin,” William Stowers, Raynold Stower’s dad said. “It is the Big 10 and they have tradition.”
Stowers also enjoyed his stay at Utah.
“Raynold also liked his trip to Utah,” Stowers said. “They treated him first-class.”
Though both Wisconsin and Utah have offered Stowers a scholarship he hasn’t committed.
“Raynold is going to take all his visits,” Stowers said. “Then we are going to sit down and talk about it.”
“So far Raynold is enjoying the recruiting process,” Stowers said. “He likes the way he has been treated by both Utah and Wisconsin.”
“Oregon State is also doing a good job recruiting Raynold,” Stowers said. “Mark Banker is recruiting him for Oregon State and is doing a great job with Raynold.”
In seven games, as a junior Stowers rushed for 1,027 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught 19 passes for 232 yards and one touchdown through the air.
In only three and half games as a senior, Stowers rushed for 545 yards and five touchdowns. He caught 22 passes for 273 yards and one touchdown.
