Stovall lands dream offer

Melquise Stovall has had a phenomenal off-season so far.
Not only has the four-star running back performed well at numerous camps and 7on7 events but he was just offered by his dream school - USC - and it looks like the Trojans have taken the lead in his recruitment.

The Lancaster (Calif.) Paraclete standout took an unofficial visit to USC recently and that's when he was offered.
"That's a big one right there," Stovall said.
"I got up to the school and met with the coaches. From there they had meetings so I went down to the field and they took me on a tour around the school, I saw the facilities, the locker room, the weight room, the indoor facility and from there I went to the practice and I loved that. It was high energy. I loved how they played music and stuff like that."
After the workout, Stovall was told to stick around because coach Steve Sarkisian wanted to have a chat. That's when he landed the offer from the Trojans.
"Coach (Marques Tuiasosopo) told me to stick around after practice and that coach Sark wanted to sit down and talk with me," Stovall said.
"Right after practice we went up to the office and coach Sark came. We sat down in the room and talked for about five minutes and he said he wanted to do this in person and that he wanted to offer me a full-ride scholarship.
"This one is huge. That's my dream school. I've been watching them ever since I can remember - Reggie Bush, that's one of my idols right there. It's just huge to have the opportunity to go to a dream school."
USC has jumped out as the favorite for Stovall but he wants to take a few more visits before making a decision. The four-star is hoping to visit Washington in April and then Miami, San Diego State and a few others over the summer.
"I just want to take a few more visits and I think I'll make my decision," Stovall said. "I'm going to graduate early so I have to start getting everything situated. USC is definitely high on the list and as soon as I can take some visits I'll know by then."
In his junior season, Stovall rushed for 1,603 yards and 20 touchdowns on 198 carries. Rivals.com ranks him as the No. 12 running back in the 2016 class.
