Stovall has two out front

Melquise Stovall is just getting started with his recruitment but the four-star running back has two teams standing out the most.
"I have two right now probably Washington and Miami for the top two out of who has offered me," Stovall said. "I'm still waiting for them to come and hopefully take some visits this spring."

The Lancaster (Calif.) Paraclete standout has been offered by Washington, Miami, Boise State, Colorado and San Diego State so far. The Huskies and the Hurricanes have the edge at this point but for very different reasons.
"Washington has been keeping in touch since they offered," Stovall said. "They were my first offer. They've been keeping in touch and I have a really good relationship with them.
"Miami I just like that place. It's a beautiful place so why wouldn't I want to play out there?"
The four-star prospect who looked good at the King of the IE 7on7 tournament this past weekend has two early frontrunners but many other offers could be on the way. Stovall said Cal continues to talk with him along with UCLA, USC, Colorado State and some others.
If he could take some unofficial visits this off-season and fall in love with a place a commitment could come before his senior year. If not, Stovall might wait until much later.
"If I can get up there and have a feel for it then maybe spring but if not I'm going to wait until signing day," Stovall said.
In his junior season, Stovall rushed for 1,603 yards and 20 touchdowns on 198 carries.
