Stovall could change top six

Melquise Stovall still has his six favorites but is open to hearing from a few other programs and he could push his decision date back from mid-June as well.
The Lancaster (Calif.) Paraclete four-star standout who could play running back or slot receiver in college said he would love to hear from Oregon and LSU. If that happens, his list of frontrunners could change.

"I still have my same top six as of right now and I haven't heard from anybody different," Stovall said. "It's almost a locked six but not really because I still want to hear from some schools.
"If not, this is my top six. I may push my decision date back due to the SAT to make sure I qualify."
Arizona, Arizona State, California, UCLA, USC and Washington are the favorites for Stovall, who would prefer to play slot in college but isn't opposed to running back, either.
USC has been considered in good shape for Stovall but he's taking visits to Washington and Arizona State throughout this week and he could see Arizona as well. Stovall recently had a good visit to UCLA, too, and the Bruins like him more in the slot.
On Saturday, Stovall was wearing a USC jacket but didn't say the Trojans were the clear leader by any stretch.
"USC looks pretty good," Stovall said. "They want to play me at running back more than anything. I'm talking to them about slot and they said it's a possibility but they want me at running back.
"I feel comfortable at slot. I'm not taking as many hits as I am at running back. I don't have a problem playing running back though."
In his junior season, Stovall rushed for 1,603 yards and 20 touchdowns on 198 carries.
