Stovall back from Utah

Melquise Stovall had an excellent trip to Utah this past weekend and it gave him a whole lot more to think about as his recruitment continues.
"It went well," Stovall said. "They showed me a lot of love from the coaches, the players and the fans. It was just a great weekend all-around."

The four-star all-purpose back from Lancaster (Calif.) Paraclete is looking to hear that he will be used in a variety of ways on offense.
Stovall, rated as the second-best all-purpose back and No. 140 overall, wants to split out and catch passes and also be used in the run game. That's exactly what he heard from the Utes' coaching staff.
"As far as offense, we sat down and talked about that," Stovall said. "They're trying to utilize me as a slot receiver and a running back. They said about 80 percent slot, 20 percent running back.
"I do want to play slot and I do want to play a little running back. They want to use me on special teams as well."
So far, Stovall has visited Notre Dame and Utah. He's planning to take a trip to Arizona this weekend, then to see Cal and he's undecided on his fifth visit.
The Utah trip definitely made a big impression on him - especially with the Utes playing so well - but Stovall doesn't want to jump to any decisions just yet.
"They're definitely high up there," Stovall said.
"As of right now I can't give a top because I still have some officials to take so after that I'll know where everything sits."
