Stoops impresses on in-home visit

To show you how much of a priority Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial running back Terry Longbons is to Arizona’s recruiting class, Wildcat head coach Mike Stoops made an in-home visit with the four-star player the first day that college coaches could come in home.
“It was a pretty good visit,” Longbons, who is 5-foot-11 and 211 pounds, said.

“We just talked about the future, preparations for next season and all the incoming recruits. I was pretty excited about their big victory, too, over Arizona State. We had our own game after that, so I had to have people relay the scores to me.”
Centennial ended up losing the game, ending Longbons’ season, but it was one that he will always remember.
“Everybody did their best,” Longbons said. “That’s the biggest thing. We didn’t reach our ultimate goal, but we worked hard and reached a lot of other goals along the way.”
Longbons will visit Arizona on December 10. He said at this point he’s not aware of any other schools or coaches coming in for in-home visits or if he’s going to take official visits.
