Stock about to take off

True centers are hard to come by but there is one prospect at this position to keep a close eye on in the coming weeks and months. His name is Brandon Vitabile and he's from Edison (N.J.) Bishop Ahr High School. Vitabile, 6-2 and 295 pounds, just received his first scholarship offer and there should be many more that follow.
"I was up at Syracuse and they offered," Vitabile. "That is a great offer and I really like them, especially their coaching staff. Good things are going to happy there. The interest is equal on both sides.

"They have great academics there and I really felt comfortable there. I would have an opportunity to play early and play for coach (Greg) Adkins. He's awesome and I really like him a lot. I sat in on an offensive line meeting and we had a good talk after practice. He's direct and get's his point across."
Vitabile will travel to Nashville on Friday to see Vanderbilt. He also likes Georgia Tech and Wake Forest down south as well as Rutgers, Maryland, Penn State and Princeton up north.
"I went to a junior day at Rutgers and I saw Penn State. They haven't offered yet. Right now I am just open and I want to see what happens with everything. I have an interest in all of the them and they are all great academic schools."
Vitabile carries a 4.4 grade point average and has scored a 1860 on the SAT. Obviously academics will play a big role in his decision. What else will be important?
"The opportunity to play early and the coaching staff will both play into my decision."
