Still one on top for Abdur-Rahman

Thus far the recruiting scene has been as consistent as it can possibly be for an uncommitted prospect when it comes to Jamal Abdur-Rahman.
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back from Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle received an offer from Maryland at the beginning of his junior season. No other schools have followed their lead, but a few others have maintained some level of contact.

"On March 27 I'm going to Maryland for a visit," Abdur-Rahman told Rivals.com over the weekend. "It will be my first time there ever. I've never been able to go. I've been trying to get there since September but things just haven't been working out. It's very exciting.
"I speak to them all the time. We're real close. I like that school a lot. I just need to get down there, see it and meet the coaches."
Given the fact that Maryland has obviously shown the most interest up to this point, is it possible that Abdur-Rahman could commit while he is in College Park?
"I'm not sure right now," he said. "I don't know. I've got to see if it overwhelms me and if I feel like that's where I need to be. Anything can happen but I don't know."
Abdur-Rahman said he has stayed in contact with Penn State, Pitt and UConn, but he isn't sure how interested those schools are. He has also spoken with Rutgers.
