Still early for Williams

With a few big offers already K.J. Williams still has a long way to go. The Rivals250 wide receiver from Bethlehem (Pa.) Liberty has seven offers from schools like Michigan, UCLA and Wisconsin.
"It's a great opportunity," said the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Williams. "Getting offers from all these schools is really exciting. My latest offers are from Arizona, UCLA and Michigan.

"From what I hear, it's great up at Michigan," he said. "Just getting an offer from Michigan is great so I'm hoping to go up there and see how it is. I'm sure I'll like it a lot. Coach Ferrigno is my recruiting coach and I talked to the receivers coach. He's a pretty good guy and seems to be pretty interested.
"Arizona is pretty far away and really warm out there," Williams said. "From what they tell me, it's really nice out there. They have a new head coach and they'll be passing a whole lot and of course I really like that. Hopefully I like it when I go out there.
"To be honest, I like UCLA," he said. "There's just something about them. It could be the fact that they're in California and it's just nice. Hopefully I'll go out there and be very interested.
"The Wisconsin offer was kind of out of nowhere, to be honest," said Williams. "I get a lot mail from them. One of their coaches contacted me and told me I had an offer.
The two schools that Williams has been associated with the most are Rutgers and Pittsburgh.
"Out of all the schools, I'm closest with Rutgers," he said. "When I go there every coach knows my name, I've talked to all of them and have a really good relationship with all of them. It's kind of the same way at Pittsburgh. I'm good with both schools."
Many schools are in touch with Williams but some are closer to offering than others.
"I think Syracuse and Kansas State will offer next," Williams said. "Penn State might but I missed out on their junior day so I'm not sure what's going to happen with them."
Williams has a few ideas about which schools he wants to visit this offseason.
"I definitely want to get up Michigan, probably Syracuse because they might offer pretty soon and I'm going to go South Carolina, Kansas State and a few other southern schools," he said. "I'm going to Kansas State on June 15 and Michigan sometime in March or early April."
Last season, Williams had 59 catches for 986 yards and 10 touchdowns.
