Still a Bronc

San Diego Mira Mesa three-star quarterback Mike Coughlin committed early in the recruiting process to former Boise State coach Dan Hawkins and the Broncos.
However, with the coaching change at Boise, has that changed things for him at all?

"No it hasn't," Coughlin, who is 6-foot-4 and 201 pounds, said. "I'm still committed to Boise State, and I didn't change anything."
Coughlin said a big reason why he is sticking with the Broncos is because of new head coach Chris Peterson. Peterson, the former offensive coordinator at Boise, had a big role in Coughlin's recruitment.
"The offensive coordinator is now the head coach, and he was the one I was closest to," Coughlin said. "I met him a lot of times, and he knows what he's talking about when it comes to football. I think he'll do a great job as the head coach.
"I'm totally convinced of my decision. I'm going out there for spring ball for as many days as I can make it so I can learn the system and be able to get some time to know it before I get on campus."
