Stewart receives his first offer

Deland (Fla.) outside linebacker Lincoln Stewart landed his first offer on Wednesday afternoon.
"Memphis offered me today," Stewart said. "They told my coach they were offering me. All my coach told me was that I got the offer and that they really liked me.

"I called the coach tonight (at Memphis) but I didn't get an answer so I will try again tomorrow," Stewart added.
The offer was an unexpected one for the 5-foot-11, 223-pound defensive prospect.
"It was out of the blue," Stewart said. "I didn't even know they were looking at me."
Stewart though his first offer was going to come from an ACC school that has been very active in recruiting him.
"I really thought Boston College was going to be my first (offer)," Stewart said. "I talk to them like every day. I had to send them my transcripts and they said I am qualified, that everything is good with regards to that. They just tell me they have to do a little more homework on me. Those were the exact words. They also told me they are only going to offer three linebackers in this class and that I will probably be the first one."
The Sunshine State prospect reports that Iowa State and Wofford are also showing him a lot of attention.
He has yet to hit the road for any visits but has two destinations marked on his calendar at this time.
"I am going to a junior day at FAU (on April 14th) and I will be visiting Boston College in June," Stewart said.
As a junior, Stewart recorded 116 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, four sacks, and recovered two fumbles.
