Steward impressive in Gainesville

Tony Steward impressed a lot of folks at the Gainesville Nike Camp earlier today at the University of Florida. Steward, from St. Augustine, Fla., is a chiseled and ripped 6-2 and 225 pounds. He looked great in drills and won the MVP honors of linebackers. This didn't surprise his head coach, Keith Cromwell.
"He's the complete package," Cromwell said. "Physically he's unreal. Tony's so strong and he has great speed. This kid is the complete football player and very explosive. He has a nose for the football and plays with outstanding instincts. Best of all though is that he picks things up so quickly."

Steward, who has big time offers from most of the elite programs throughout the country, has already visited Florida State, Florida and Miami.
"Florida State was my childhood favorite team. I loved the atmosphere when I was there and the new coaches seem great.
"I like the competition here at Florida. The coaches also seem like a really good group of guys.
"Miami kind of surprised me. I like coach (Mike) Barrow a lot. I also like that they are a private school with good academics.
"I also like Alabama, Clemson, Texas Tech and UCLA. I would like to see those schools.
"Right now I am pretty open. I want to really try hard to be patient with the recruiting process. All the attention right now is pretty nice but I could see how it could get real old."
