Stevens talks about USC experience

Hemet (Calif.) offensive lineman Hamani Stevens had a busy past week. After backing off his commitment to UCLA, the lineman camped with USC late last week and talked about his experience as well as where his thought process is at right now.
Stevens, 6-3, 280 pounds attended the USC Rising Stars camp last week and said he loved the experience.

"It was great, I loved it there and learned so much from the coaches," Stevens. "I talked with the coaches a lot there and they said they really liked me and want to offer.
"They didn't give me a time table or say when but Coach Carroll had a lot of good things to say. He told me the team needs a center and I would fit right in there. He told me he thought I was a great player and that was really nice to hear.
"If USC does offer, I'm definitely going to have a tough decision to make between them and UCLA. I still have a lot of love for UCLA but an offer from SC carries a lot of weight so it's going to be tough to decide either way.
"I know some people assume I'll just jump right on the offer from SC but I'm not going to do it. I'm going to really think this out and make the best decision for me. I still want to make my decision by the end of the summer, but I'm not going to rush things and will just play this out and see how everything works out."
