Stevens ready to decide

We thought there was a chance that Hemet (Calif.) offensive lineman Hamani Stevens would announce his college choice this past Saturday at the SoCal Bowl. Stevens said he wanted to wait a few more days but a decision could come by early next week.
Stevens, 6-3, 280 pounds let us know late last week that he wasn't quite ready to make his college choice public over the weekend.

"I wanted my mom to be there and she was out of town," Stevens said. "I'll going to do it either Tuesday or Wednesday at my high school. I know where I'm going but I'm just going to keep it to myself until I announce next week.
"It will be between Oregon, BYU and ASU. All are great schools and it was a tough decision for me but I'm happy with my decision and looking forward to my announcement coming up in a few days."
Stevens has told us multiple times that the Ducks were his top school but we also know BYU gave him a lot to think about on his official visit a few weeks back. We still feel Oregon will win out here but won't be surprised at all to hear him announce for the Cougs or Sun Devils either.
