Stepoli sets an official

Huntersville (N.C.) North Mecklenburg offensive tackle Josh Stepoli has set up his first official visit. The 6-foot-7, 275-pounder plans to head out on the trip later this month.

"I have a visit to East Carolina on December 20th through the 22nd, it's a midweek visit," he said. "I just want to go there to see the campus, see how they plan on playing me and whether I'm going to go and redshirt or if I'll go in and play. I also want to see what they run on offense, formations and that."

East Carolina is one of two leaders or Stepoli.

"It's still Temple and East Carolina as my top two," he said. "Those two are showing the most interest and have been calling me. I've also built a relationship with them."

Stepoli holds other offers from Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Indiana and Marshall.

Has he scheduled any other trips?

"I had a visit scheduled to Temple, but I took the SAT and had to reschedule. We haven't scheduled it yet, but it will be sometime in January.

"I also think I might go to Indiana and Pittsburgh. I'm trying to work it into my basketball schedule. I don't want to miss any games."
