Stephenson wants to play receiver

Parlin (N.J.) Sayreville War Memorial athlete Delon Stephenson told Rivals.com a couple of weeks ago that he's planning to make his decision on his birthday in late June.
Stephenson appears to be sticking to that timetable.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete has an offer from Rutgers and the Scarlet Knights are still in an excellent position.
"They're still at the top," Stephenson said, acknowledging that Rutgers is his favorite.
"I was there two weeks ago for a practice. It was good. I left before it ended up I had a good time. It was high tempo."
Rutgers isn't the only school involved. In fact, Stephenson said a coach from Miami will be visiting Sayreville War Memorial on May 2. The Hurricanes don't appear to be recruiting any other prospects from the school, so they will be in town to check Stephenson out.
Stephenson said most schools, including Rutgers, are recruiting him as a cornerback. That something he could obviously do well, and his nine interceptions over the past two years are evidence of that.
However, he would prefer to play another position and said any school that offers him there would get a major boost.
"I'd like to play wide receiver," Stephenson said. "It would make me think about a school a lot more (if they offered him to play offense)."
