Stephenson shocked by Schiano news

With news of Greg Schiano's departure from Rutgers, commitments for the Scarlet Knights are shocked. One of those is Parlin (N.J.) Sayreville War Memorial athlete Delon Stephenson.
"I was just surprised that it happened," he said. "When someone told me, I couldn't believe them, I was shocked."
Stephenson noted he has yet to hear from Rutgers.

"I haven't heard from anyone yet, but I'll probably talk to them tomorrow."
In the meantime, other schools are at least checking him out.
"Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech have contacted me," he said. "Georgia Tech wanted me to come down and Vanderbilt was just asking if I'm interested. I don't really know about that."
Stephenson noted that he is still a commit with the Scarlet Knights and barring a drastic change plans to sign next week.
"It's just so close to home, so everyone can watch me play," he said. "I got people I know up there through my brother and it's a good school for an education, it's ranked No. 1."
