Stephens talks FSU, Canes, WVU

West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer wide receiver Clint Stephens knows the numbers are tight for Florida State's 2014 recruiting class, but he's not giving up hope that he could land with the Seminoles.
"Florida State is my top choice," Stephens said. "I'd rather go to Florida State than any other school. It's my dream school. I've been liking them since I was a little kid."

Stephens claims an offer from the Seminoles and said West Virginia is his No. 2 school right now. The Mountaineers staff were hoping to get a visit from Stephens this past weekend but his travel plans fell through.
Right now it's up to Stephens to make contact with coaches and he said he needs to do a better job going forward.
"I haven't really talked to the West Virginia coaches," Stephens said. "They've been trying to contact me but I don't do much Internet. They came by my school in the spring and talked to me but that was in May."
Despite missing this past weekend's trip, Stephens said he's going to visit West Virginia "for sure" at some point in the future.
Stephens said Miami continues to pursue him the hardest and he recently camped at the school and came away impressed.
"I went to camp there and I was working with Coach Al Golden," Stephens said. "He told me he liked my film. He said they want to move me inside to slot so I can get matched up with linebackers and use my speed to get open and get the ball in my hands."
The Hurricanes and Dwyer run a similar scheme and that's something Stephens said he likes.
"They run the same offense as my school," he said. "That's why I like what they're doing on offense and I think I could fit in."
