Stephens explodes with offers

After a successful NIKE Training Camp trip, the offers are rolling in for Flower Mound (Texas) quarterback Nick Stephens.
Baylor, UTEP, Colorado, Illinois, and Oklahoma State are the first teams to garner offers for Stephens and it looks doubtful that the count will stop there. Two favorites have emerged already for the 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect.

"I think right now after going to the Oklahoma State junior day there at the top of my list along with Ole Miss," Stephens said. "I've always liked Ole Miss and they throw the ball like 40 times a game so it's a perfect offense for me."
A trip to Ole Miss looks like the first unofficial trip along with possible visits to Oklahoma State, Colorado, and Georgia Tech. However, that's not counting some more camps.
"I think I'll go to about three or four," Stephens said. "Other than Oklahoma State, UTEP, Tulsa, and Georgia are possibilities."
As for official visits, that depends on how the summer goes.
"If I find the right place and commit, then no I won't be taking any," Stephens said. "If I decide against making an early decision, then I'll be taking some."
About the idea of trekking far away from home, Stephens said distance won't bother him no matter where the future college home may be located.
"Being in-state doesn't matter," he said. "It's about the college, not where it is. I just want a school with the right offense that makes me feel comfortable."
