Arizona State recently stopped by Hayward (Calif.) Stellar Prep and offered 2015 wide receiver Darrell Adams. The Sun Devils and many others could be back for two other players as well.
Three-star quarterback Cameron Burston and three-star defensive back Chandler Gumbs are big recruits as well and Stellar Prep coach Desmond Gumbs said Arizona State seems highly interested.
"Arizona State loved Cameron and Chandler," Gumbs said. "Cameron is in the top tier. The offer didn't come but quarterback is one of those positions where you have to just recruit and watch and evaluate.
"They loved his size, loved his arm strength.
"With Chandler, they loved his size and his arm strength. Chandler has a 3.8 GPA and they're on the list. We'll see what happens but I'm pretty optimistic not only about ASU but a lot of schools in the Pac-12."
So far, Burston has been offered by San Jose State. He is 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds and coach Gumbs said many Pac-12 programs are involved already.
For Gumbs, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound recruit has been offered by Colorado State. Arizona State was the first offer for Adams, who missed his entire junior season because of transfer rules.
The Stellar Prep coach said he thinks many Pac-12 programs will be at the school this spring to check out the trio.
"Most of the colleges have been out wrapping up the 2014 kids," Gumbs said. "Coaches have come by campus picking up transcripts so I'm expecting a wonderful spring at Stellar Prep."
