Steady stream of offers for Rivers

With the 2015 recruiting class in the books, the 2016 prospects have stepped into the public eye but college coaches are already starting on the 2017 class. Sophomore linebacker Dylan Rivers visited Penn State in January and starting to see his recruitment take off.
"It was awesome," said the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Rivers. "I got to meet Spider, the equipment manager that had been there for a long time. We got to go up in the suites and see the field. We went and saw the campus, weight room and all the facilities.

"Coach Pry was with me pretty much the whole time," he said. "He sat down with his family and ate with us. I talked to coach Franklin a little bit and I met all the other coaches too. Coach Pry is a really good dude and I like him a lot. He has a very good coaching mentality. Coach Franklin is a really nice guy and I liked him a lot too. He has a lot of swagger."
At the end of the visit, Rivers was informed that he had a scholarship to Penn State.
"They made me wait the entire day and asked me to stick round in the locker room," Rivers said. "There were a couple of us there and coach came over and told me that I have an offer from Penn State."
N.C. State also offered Rivers recently.
"Coach Barlow invited me to a junior day a couple weeks ago," he said. "I haven't really been able to talk to them much. I called coach Barlow and introduced myself. I know a little bit about them because my dad went there so I've grown up watching them. I have to learn a little bit more about them."
Rivers has a couple other offers under his belt.
"My first one was from Arizona then it was West Virginia and Old Dominion," said Rivers. "It was amazing to get that offer from Arizona. I was ecstatic. I know they have a really good linebacker named Scooby but that's about it. My granddad is a big WVU fan so I know about them a little bit."
Rivers will head to N.C. State this weekend and Virginia Tech the following weekend.
